More than 40 million women enter the last phase of their lives and what they really need is not the thinking process of most people. No need to focus on silver hair, a few kinks or in any case, to hit a big 5-0. An ongoing article in Time Magazine (5/9/05) opened the eyes to the middle life of women who really care. So, always, society views middle life as that - midlife, menstruation, empty home, silver hair and kinks. For women, however, it is a far cry.
We have been getting some information about their ideas and stories about good and fruitful encounters. In addition to the fact that they shared their best stories, they also revealed their expectations, ideas and goals for the last part of their lives.
These accounts tell of women who are looking forward to this wonderful time as a time of renewal, of exploring new premium venues and the "opportunity to be perfect and who I really need to be". Women discuss the imagery they have learned, the wisdom they have acquired, and the ability to look forward to embracing new needs. Most of these ladies really expect growth and age-appropriate gifts.
What can be said about you? What do you really care about? This is not as easy as the question as it arises. Ask yourself a few questions and write your answers in your diary. Visit it regularly and see what it introduces to you.
Here are a few questions to consider.
1. List the 3-5 things you have achieved in your life. These are the things you usually enjoy. Why?
2. Name your assets. What 5 good qualities do you have? What special gifts or regions are you ready for?
3. What are the things that wake you up every day? What are your interests? What makes your toes tremble and your spirit heal?
4. What is important in your life? If you think you have reached a surprising conclusion, what would you like to achieve so that you do not regret it at all?
5. With the above questions answered, is it a job to take on the purpose that the last part of your life is really unusual?
